Rescuers from River Falls Fire Department, Slater-Marietta Fire Department, and Greenville County EMS were dispatched to Upper Wildcat Falls in northern Greenville County on Sunday May 30th in response to a 22 year old man falling over 30 feet from the top of the waterfall. Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in connection with the incident involving an EMS worker getting intentionally struck by a vehicle. Yesterday evening deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office F.A.S.I.T team arrested 33 year-old, Jennifer Rose Case after investigators were able to identify her through video evidence and other investigative leads. Two-Cent Gas Tax Increase Effective July 1, 2021 The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announced last week its new 2021-2022 paving program, which will result in nearly 1,000 more miles of the state’s roads being rehabilitated and resurfaced during the coming two years. The Devildog Baseball family gathered on Saturday afternoon for the dedication of a Baseball Memorial. Five former Baseball Devildogs were honored; former head baseball coach Ric Smith, who led Travelers Rest to its only Upper State Championship, BJ Simpson, Joseph Gillespie, Parker Neff and Jordan Howard.
