Memorial Dedication Service Held At TR Baseball Field

The Devildog Baseball family gathered on Saturday afternoon for the dedication of a Baseball Memorial. Five former Baseball Devildogs were honored; former head baseball coach Ric Smith, who led Travelers Rest to its only Upper State Championship, BJ Simpson, Joseph Gillespie, Parker Neff and Jordan Howard. Family, friends, and community members were in attendance. Head Coach Brian McKitrick shared memories of each. Also speaking were Tyler Strange, Jimmy Gillespie, and Sandy Smith.
