Crime Ring Operating In Northern Greenville County
Thieves are running wild in northern Greenville County in recent weeks. According to The Monitor's crime statistics from July 1st through the early days of August there have been at least 19 burglaries, 14 grand theft autos, and a half dozen or more auto break ins. The numbers sore even higher with consideration of petit larcenies. Even churches aren't safe as one grand theft auto was committed in a church parking lot during a Sunday service.
There is also a report of vigilante groups patrolling northern Greenville County streets and roadways looking for their stolen property because law enforcement seems to be overwhelmed.

BURGLARIES - July 3rd residence in the 300 block of River Falls Road; July 5th residence on Ellen Street, Marietta; July 23rd another residence in the 300 block of River Falls Road; July 28th constriction site in the 100 block of Bates Road, Marietta; August 2nd, two homes on Cunningham Road, Travelers Rest; July 4, commercial building in the 26500 block of North Highway 25, Travelers Rest; July 1st residence in the 11400 block of Old White Horse Road, Travelers Rest; July 23rd residence on McCauley Road, Travelers Rest; July 23rd residence on Belvue Road, Travelers Rest; July 15th residence on Quail Hollow Lane, Travelers Rest; July 11, residence on Bowers Road, Travelers Rest; July 27 residence in the 11800 block of Old White Horse Road; July 27 convenience store on Old White Horse Road, Travelers Rest; July 24 residence in the 200 block of Bridwell Way, Travelers Rest; July 1st rental storage business on Highway 25, Travelers Rest; August 6 residence on Forestville Road, Travelers Rest.
AUTO THEFTS - July 30th 100 block of Melon Street, Slater where a landscaper's truck, trailer, lawn tractor and other equipment was stolen while he was conducting landscaping work at a residence. July 22, vehicle was stolen from a farm facility on Bates Bridge Road, Marietta; July 29, vehicle and a jet ski was stolen from a residence on Lindsey Lake Road, Travelers Rest; July 24th vehicle stolen from North Highway 25, Travelers Rest; July 10, vehicle stolen from a residence on Goodwin Road, Travelers Rest; July 23 vehicle was stolen from a parking lot at North Greenville University on Tigerville Road, Taylors; July 12, an attempted auto theft was reported at a residence on Old Plantation Trail, Travelers Rest; July 9 vehicle stolen from 2000 block of Keeler Mill Road; July 4, vehicle stolen from Morgan Avenue, Travelers Rest; July 28 an attempted vehicle theft was reported at an auto dealership in the 20500 block of North Highway 25, Travelers Rest; August 1st a vehicle was stolen from a church parking lot on Old McElhaney Road, Travelers Rest; August 3, a vehicle was stolen from a residence on Sunrise Valley Road, Travelers Rest.
AUTO BREAK INS - July 30th autobreaking reported in the 2100 clock of Forest Circle, Marietta; July 3th, autobreaking reported in the 100 block of Moody Bridge Road, Cleveland; July 6th an autobreaking was reported on Starview Road, Travlers Rest; July 16th autobreaking reported in the 1300 block of Geer Highway, Travelers Rest; July 18th autobreaking reported on Enoree Road, Travelers Rest.
