TR Woman Shot And Killed In Taylors, January Crime Reports

A 76 year old Travelers Rest woman was shot and killed Saturday, January 7th, in Taylors according to Greenville County Sheriff's Office investigators.

The Sheriff's Office responded to a call in reference to a shooting at the intersection of Wade Hampton Blvd., and Edwards Mill Road around 4 pm. Deputies discovered a passenger in a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at a nearby location.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Betty Diane Amick, 76, of Travelers Rest. A person of interest is being investigated, according to press release issued by the sheriff's office.
