Trees Fall In Sudden Storm

A sudden Friday afternoon storm brought down trees and damaged vechiles in Travelers Rest. Tree limbs and trees fell on Tolar Road and Poinsett Highway in the city limits. A vehicle traveling on Duncan Road near Mountain Vew Cemetery was hit by a falling tree. A tree fell on a house near Poinsett and Highway 25 and caused TRPD officers to the intersection of Hawkins Road and Highway 25 to direct traffic for hours while electrical lines were repaired in that area. A glass door was blown off of its hinges at a nearby daycare center. The storm lasted only a few minutes and no injuries were reported.
