Former TRHS Athlete Will Replace Lavely

Daniel Bruce was introduced as the new TRHS principal in the school's Media Center on Tuesday afternoon. He was introduced by Mr. Scott Rhymer, Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership of High Schools.

Bruce is a 1995 graduate of TRHS and was a member of the second group of inductees to the TRHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.

Bruce has worked over fourteen years with the Greenville County Schools as a teacher's aide, middle school teacher, and in administration. He served as an assistant principal at the high school level at Berea and Hillcrest High Schools. He completed the Assistant Principal Institute in 2014 and has served as the principal of Greer Middle School for the past three and a half years.

Bruce will take over as principal at the end of this year as Lou Lavely retires after 17 years as the TRHS principal.
