CHARLESTON, SC (07/15/2021)-- More than 560 members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets accepted diplomas during The Citadel's commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8 in McAlister Field House. In addition to graduating, about 27% of the class accepted commissions as U.S. military officers in all branches of service. The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) responded to an accident on Geer Hwy. in the Renfrew community of Travelers Rest where a car crashed into a building. A person was driving northbound on Geer Highway, crossed the centerline and ran off the left side of the roadway before hitting a building. They say the person has minor injuries and has been taken to the hospital. The accident was reported Sunday evening (July 18th).
On the evening of July 3, 1999 twenty year old Brooke Leigh Henson hosted a party at her parents' home on Henderson Drive in the city limits of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
